1080p HD Imaging Resolution

As homeland security missions intensify, front-line personnel require higher resolution EO/IR technology to perform their surveillance and observation tasks. WESCOM’s HD technology leads the industry, offering true 1080p resolution with more pixels on target. The imaging capability of the WESCOM’s HD turrets enhance overall mission capability, aiding in the detection of critical intel and fine details through the sharp colors, bold contrasts and cleaner images that only 1080p HD technology delivers.

Setting itself apart from 720p HD imaging turrets, WESCOM’s MX-15 True HD System is capable of outputting True HD-1080p, 1080i, 720p and analog video formats. Utilizing a miniature 1080p HD camera (1920 x 1080 pixels) for both EO Zoom and Spotters, WESCOM’s HD technology provides higher resolution and better imaging performance over stand-alone 720p HD systems.

In addition to the MX-15’s industry-leading HD technology, its IR, EO day and EO night imagery capability is further enhanced using proprietary real-time ELAP image processing. The system’s high-speed on-turret processing and advanced signal processing algorithms provide increased standoff range, improved feature recognition and maximum haze penetration.
